2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by STRATO. Technical connection data, such as IP address, request time, requested resource, browser/device details and HTTP status may be processed and logged as required by the actual server configuration.

The purposes are serving the website, ensuring stability and protecting against misuse. Depending on the actual processing, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation) may apply.

3. Language preferences

To remember whether a visitor prefers English or German, the website stores the chosen language locally in the browser. Session storage may briefly hold the scroll position during language changes. These settings are not transferred to VENSUKO to build a user profile.

The website does not currently use advertising tracking or personalised advertising.

4. Contact inquiries and attachments

When the contact form is enabled, we process the contact details, inquiry category, message and any attachments you provide to respond to your request. General inquiries are directed to contact@vensuko.de and career inquiries to careers@vensuko.de. Pending delivery, message content and attachments may be stored encrypted in a private server directory. If the form is unavailable, you can contact us at contact@vensuko.de directly.

5. Security and Cloudflare Turnstile

When the contact form is enabled, we use Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated spam. The browser may transmit technical information to Cloudflare, and the challenge token is validated on the server. While the form is disabled, Turnstile is not loaded for contact submissions.

6. Recipients and external websites

Hosting, email and storage providers such as STRATO may process data on behalf of the site operator. Cloudflare may become involved if Turnstile is activated.

Some download links lead to GitHub release pages. A visitor who chooses to follow such a link is subject to the privacy information provided by the external service. Photographs and fonts used by this website are served locally.

On the download, releases, Launcher and Studio pages, the browser requests version data from our own website. Our server periodically checks official installer files and release notes through the GitHub API. The browser does not automatically connect directly to GitHub for this feature. Clicking an external GitHub link opens the external provider website. If the version check fails, the last verified information remains visible. More information: GitHub Privacy Statement.

The Discord link only opens the external service when clicked. Connection data may then be transmitted to Discord. For details, see: Discord Privacy Policy.

7. Retention periods

Personal data is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the particular inquiry and any legal obligations. Retention and deletion rules may differ for business correspondence and job applications.

8. Your data protection rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you may request access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction (Article 18), portability (Article 20), object to processing (Article 21), and withdraw consent where consent is used, with effect for the future.

Contact contact@vensuko.de for privacy requests. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority, such as the North Rhine-Westphalia Data Protection Authority if competent.

9. Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page views and website loading performance. Your browser loads a script from static.cloudflareinsights.com, and measurement data is transmitted to the Cloudflare service. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies or track people across websites. This helps us understand site reach and performance. Read the Cloudflare privacy policy for more information.
